Post Office

Worst ! It took 2 days to send a parcel. There s a line and many steps to follow on what to fill in and how to pack. They make you wait in line each time and let everyone else go first. It takes HOURS, untill you go mad really. So bring specific brown tape / scissors / packed well / HS codes for international parcel,...

Here's a little help - you have to pack your parcel with brown tape - have a photocopy or your passeport ( there is a little shop in front of the post, upstairs ) - put the adress from where its send on top, and the adress where it will be send on the lower part + fill one paper - you have to have an indian number where OTP confirmation will be send ( just to confirm the Booking is well done ) You have to be patient,( took 1h ) better to go in the morning ;) I payed 9200 rs for 11,7kg Paiement in cash only

The worst post office I've been to. Even when it's empty, they don't care about customers. They reply to half of the questions at all. The lady miscalculated the stamp costs, and then took 2 minutes to give back change. They appear uninterested in their work and condescending to customers.

Surprised to see the low rating here. Yes, it's a government office so don't expect service like you might in the private sector and certianly don't ask for explanations on or exceptions for what is government policy (we saw some people asking why packages can't be sent to Israel and when the rule will change- while inconvenient, this isn't in their hands!). Yes there may be a bit of a crowd that doesn't quite understand the concept of waiting in line. However, the staff is efficient and polite. We sent three packages at prices the private sector couldn't match and even though it took a while for it to be our turn, when it was, the process was smooth and painless. No digital payments- bring cash.

The staff here were polite and professional to me, answering my questions and giving tips in good english. I wonder if at least some of the bad reviews i see here are coming from people with an entitled first world attitude. Give respect to get respect. You are in a different culture, show some patience and consideration for people in the country where you are a guest.

If you ask them a question, you will feel like you entered somebodies home to bother. I asked how much would be to send a 5 kg package to Europe, it took them 10 minutes to tell me they don't know, come tomorrow, they say.

So rude. Not helpful at all, told me don't have boxes but I see a ton of boxes behind them? Hardly spoke
