My experience with the Passport Service Office has been mixed. When I visited for my own passport-related work, the entire process was completed within 20 minutes, which was very efficient and appreciable. However, my experience was completely different when I visited the office for my parents. This time, the process took nearly two hours. When we asked about the delay, we were informed that it was due to a shortage of staff. Delays can be understood to some extent, but what was more concerning was the lack of basic facilities. There was no provision for drinking water, and more importantly, no access to toilets. While applicants may manage to arrange drinking water on their own, the absence of usable toilets is unacceptable. The toilets were locked, and when access was requested, it was denied. At the very least, toilet facilities should be available for female applicants, senior citizens, and people who have to wait for long hours. The office is also not physically challenged-friendly. There is no lift, and applicants have to use stairs. This makes it extremely difficult, and in some cases impossible, for persons with disabilities to access the office. If a physically challenged person cannot even enter the office, it effectively denies them access to essential services like a passport. This raises serious concerns as it goes against the spirit of Article 14 (Right to Equality) and Article 21 (Right to Life and Dignity) of the Constitution. Overall, while the efficiency of the process can be good at times, the lack of infrastructure, basic amenities, and accessibility needs urgent attention. A public service office should be inclusive, humane, and respectful of the dignity and rights of all citizens.

Had good experience, Office was neat and clean, staff were also very active and processing fast, I reached half an hour early of my appointment timing, immediately they sent in and my process is completed within 10 to 15 mins including documents verification at first. Total time took 15 mins to complete my process. As it is renewal, hope the remaining process will be as smooth and fast as earlier.

I had a very frustrating experience with the Passport Office. My PCC application was rejected and I was declared ineligible even though I have no criminal history at all. What made things worse is that no reason or clarification was provided. This lack of transparency has caused delays in my travel plans and unnecessary stress. Government services should prioritize clarity and communication so applicants understand the problem and can fix it. I hope this issue is addressed to prevent similar experiences for others .

Had a very pleasant and good experience here but if anyone is going for interview you should be free for atleast 3-4 hours that day beacuse issuing passport is not a small thing and the staff there is good and atmosphere is also very good there

No lift for senior citizens no seating arengment in side security staff very rude
