Today, we visited the office to book a ticket for my child. We followed all the required procedures and carried all the necessary documents. However, from the entrance up to the C-level counters, the behavior of the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of guiding the public properly, many employees behaved arrogantly, as if they were doing a favor rather than performing their duty. When we tried to politely ask questions or clarify our concerns, we were not given proper responses. In particular, at the C4 level, one madam behaved very disrespectfully. She spoke to us as if we were beggars and she was in a superior position. When we asked simple questions related to the process, she immediately called security instead of explaining the matter calmly. I had seen positive reviews about this office earlier, so I trusted the system. But today's experience has given me complete clarity about the actual ground reality. Such behavior causes mental stress to parents and creates a very negative image of the government services. I sincerely request the AP Government to look into this issue seriously, counsel the concerned staff, and ensure that the public is treated with respect. Otherwise, such services lose their purpose and public trust.

Very Horrible Experience (1 star because can't give 0 stars) Everyone here seems to have an egocentric mindset -- from the security guards all the way to the Counter-C staff. No one provides clear or accurate information, and the reception staff have the biggest attitude and ego of them all. Regarding the technical side of document verification and certificate checking, I would suggest reading other reviews to understand how poorly the process is handled. The system is extremely confusing and no one properly guides applicants. I was born and brought up in a metro city, and even I found this experience frustrating. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for people from Tier-2 or Tier-3 cities, or for elderly applicants who genuinely need guidance. From what I've seen and heard, no other city's PSK office seems to have such a poor experience. To anyone reading this, please consider liking or upvoting this review so it gains more visibility and hopefully reaches the concerned officials.

Worst Experience at Passport Office, Vijayawada This is one of the worst government office experiences I've ever had. The behaviour of the staff at the Passport Office, Vijayawada is extremely rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Many officers speak as if they are ruling the country, not serving the public. People who come from rural areas are treated especially badly. Instead of guiding applicants properly, staff members behave arrogantly, show no patience, and fail to take responsibility for their duties. Basic courtesy and respect are completely missing. This is not just my experience--my friend also faced the same treatment earlier, which clearly shows this is a regular issue, not a one-time incident. A passport office is a public service centre, not a place to harass citizens. The authorities should seriously look into staff behaviour, provide proper training, and ensure applicants are treated with dignity and respect. Very disappointing and stressful experience.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a passport office, at any location other than Vijayawada. Counter A was professional, polite, and friendly. However, the staff at Counters B and C were extremely rude and unprofessional. At Counter B, the officer would not even look at applicants while speaking. He simply threw the documents on the table without any courtesy. He also failed to guide applicants on which counter to visit next, which caused unnecessary confusion. The experience at Counter C was even more disappointing. Although many applicants had been waiting since 9:30 AM, the officer arrived around 10:00 AM. When my token number was displayed on the screen, I approached Counter C. The officer asked, "What do you want?" I informed him that my token number had appeared on the display. He responded dismissively, saying, "So what? Why are you standing? Go and sit." in a rudely manner. Such behavior is unacceptable in a public service office. Officials should remember that they are public servants, and applicants deserve to be treated with basic respect and professionalism.

The staff is extremely rude. They interpret rules as per their whims and fancies. The passport office was much better 10 years earlier. Now they just have outsourced employees who do not have the basic decency to be nice to people. I have seen old people get shouted at while in the queue. They even scam everyone and put their own ratings at the exit after collecting our details. Especially worst are people sitting in the entrance and the C section.

Based on my experience, if passport centers in India were ranked for the worst service, the Vijayawada Passport Seva Kendra would rank number one. Frankly, it is a third-class center--not because of the infrastructure, but because of the people working there. From the reception staff to the passport officers, including the Xerox counter staff, everyone displays arrogance and behaves as if applicants are begging for a service. They have a habitual practice of rescheduling applications multiple times--at least three times in my case. Whatever corrections are written by the reception staff are blindly followed by the AP01 and AP02 officers, whose approach appears extremely careless and inefficient. The TCS staff are equally unhelpful; they barely communicate and seem uninterested in doing their jobs. During my first visit, I was told that Annexure J and an Aadhaar Xerox were missing, even though I had submitted the Aadhaar copy. They failed to verify it properly. On my second visit, despite carrying all originals and required documents, they raised a new issue, claiming a surname mismatch in Aadhaar. I had to travel all the way from Bangalore, and it felt like these issues were deliberately created to harass applicants. It appears as though such actions are intentionally done to discourage people from visiting the center so that staff can avoid work. Due to the unnecessary harassment, wastage of valuable time, and financial loss caused, I am planning to send legal notices to the Vijayawada Passport Office and the Ministry of External Affairs. I also intend to report this matter to the media.

The passport office operates from 8:45 AM to 4:30 PM for the initial booking slot. Entry is restricted to one applicant per application; accompanying visitors are not permitted within the office. Seating is available in the parking area for waiting visitors. Please note that on-site car parking is unavailable, and roadside parking is required.
