Update: From Jan 2026 this office doesn't stamp departure in your passport.
They will call a vehicle, and they will take you to another office called "Head Quarters ICP RAXAUL". There they will stamp the passport.
The police men are very friendly but the immigration officer not friendly at all. He will ask you many questions.

For those FOREIGNERS wondering if you can re-enter India by land once your e-visa is stamped, the answer is YES. You can, no problem. Just come to the border with enough time and patience. Indian border opens 6 am. Nepali office a bit later.. 7-8 it depends a bit on their mood I guess..
REMEMBER Only Raxaul and Sonauli borders to Nepal are open to foreigners atm.

Foreigner here, USA passport with multi entry Indian tourist Evisa.
I entered Nepal here by land. Officer was helpful and said it should be no problem to re-enter India here.
The better part of a month later I came back to re-enter India after trekking and the officer let me re-enter. No issues at all.
If you have an Evisa, you can not enter here as your first entry to India. But I learned that you can re-enter India with the Evisa at this land border if you have multi entry.
