Sansad Marg Head Post Office

I visited the Philately Department (Post Office, not the museum) to buy stamps for Postcrossing. Despite my polite approach, the elderly staff member was extremely unprofessional--yelling constantly throughout my visit. I purchased stamps worth around 900 and asked if I could pay online. She abruptly snatched the package without a word and started watching a serial on her phone. Frustrated, I began recording and asked her name. Only then did her behavior change, and she suddenly became polite.

One of the biggest and oldest post offices in Delhi. India Post headquarters are also here and postal museum as well. This post office is usually crowded as there are so many government offices around. The lady staff who entertained me was helpful and efficient.

This is Head post office. Staffs are very cooperative and nice. Nearest metro connectivity is Patel chowk metro station (gate no 3).

Clean, managed, supportive staffs. Usually you'll not face crowd here. I went for aadhar update. You've to fill a form for any kind of aadhar update and wait till your number comes. They display the number on the display screen. Lunch hour is 1:30 to 2:00 PM. From distribution till 11 AM

Just like other post offices, staffs are not available at speed post counter. Online payments are not accepted, cash only. Slow working staff, leave their counters for 30 minutes, showing no remorse for the time wasted. A philately bureau is also there, with better working staff.

I was at the post office in Rajendra Nagar, Shankar road an hour back today 29th June, 12 noon, the office was full of customers and there was NO NORM of social distancing. Although I brought this to the notice of the post master who was helpful and told the people to keep distance but of no help. Old Rajendra Nagar is already a containment zone and the post office has to control entry of customers or else will be a source of communication of the virus.
