Only 2 officials work here and they are very quick. I had appointment at 4:00 pm but since no one was there prior to me they started my process at 3:35 pm and finished all the process within 5 mins. So quick and speedy I really appreciate their service at Margao. Before people had to travel to Panjim but I feel Margao Passport branch is much quicker than Panjim branch.

Had an appointment for passport renewal today at 10:45 AM. At 10:30 AM they put up a printout that the server is down and we should reschedule our appointments. Who is accountable for the loss of time and efforts of all the people who had come there? It's easy for them to say so but getting the next appointment is not straightforward especially for people who have to travel from far off taking off from their work.

You cannot get any changes to your parent's names done in this office. They need an inspector for that, who is only present at the Panjim office. However, this is not conveyed/published anywhere before booking the appointment. Also, there is no way to directly contact this office. They display the phone numbers for the Panjim office only, where all enquiries should be directed. I suppose the only merit is that this place is closer for those in South Goa who want to apply for fresh passport/renewal without changes. They probably handle some reissue applications. But I would still recommend calling the Panjim branch and asking if your specific reissue changes can be done at this Margao Office before visiting.

We recently visited POPSK Margao for further documentation of our passports. The office is located on the ground floor in room number 20 of the Mathany Saldanha Administrative Complex. Fortunately, appointment timings are not a concern here as the place is often empty. There are no security guards to check for appointment SMS, and all work is handled by two employees. The first counter guy we encountered spoke Hindi or English but had a very indignant approach. He was often found sitting in his chair with his phone and earphones. The second guy spoke Konkani and English and was more helpful. Unfortunately, our overall experience at POPSK Margao was poor due to their lack of professionalism. We had to travel nearly 50 kilometers to RPO Panaji to clarify the name of our parents, an issue that could have been avoided with proper scrutiny. It also appeared that both these employees at POPSK Margao were more interested in finishing their work quickly so they could take a break to play games or eat food.
