The State Horticulture Farm at Shergaon is a must visit whenever one is visiting West Kameng. It's a very picturesque place with trees and trees of apples, kiwis and persimmons. They charge a nominal fee of 20/person but you will need to pay extra if you want to park your vehicle or carry a camera or a drone. Plucking of fruits is not allowed but it is permitted to walk around the farm and to take pictures with your phone. They also have a sales counter where you can buy the fruits on your way out at very reasonable rates but they have a restriction on the quantity that can be bought

Visited this farm on the 3rd of September so got the opportunity to witness the apple trees full of ripened apples ready for harvesting.
Had a pleasant experience while roaming around the orchard filled with apples. Also bought 2 kgs of these fresh fruits to carry back home.

The top of the hill on the corner side is an easy 10 min hike and gives the view of the entire Shergaon village. Best visited during the apple season

Had a great experience at the farm.. Once you reach there you'll see variety of apples.. There is a ticket counter as well as sells counter from where you can buy apples too...You can buy from there..There is also a government trout fish farm at a distance of 500mtr where you can see lots of trout fishes...

The Farm is owned by the state government and you can get up close and personal with farming techniques of various fruits and fishes. You can also buy fruits on a very reasonable rates.

Excellent place to take your family especially learning kids. Apple, peach, kiwi etc. are cultivated here in a scientific manner with nurseries. Cold water fish farm (trout) with hatcheries are seen. Road is motorable with parking. Visitors are allowed with some time restrictions.
