I had a really frustrating experience at the municipality office. The registration process is incredibly hectic, with only one counter available to fill out the required details. To make matters worse, there's no clear order for who gets served first, so it feels chaotic and disorganized. It's definitely not a smooth process, and I can't imagine dealing with this on your marriage day--it'll only add unnecessary stress. The lack of care and structure made it a difficult and unpleasant experience overall.

If you are going for a marriage registration kindly find the below pic and keep the items ready. As of 20 Sep 2024 these are the documents needed, don't know if any changes are happening in future. Keep all documents ready before heading to the registration desk

Despite facing constraints, the Guruvayoor Municipality Revenue Wing delivered exceptional service for me (1766510). Staff received me politely and processed my request with impressive speed and high professionalism. Special thanks to the supportive system, all staff, Superintendent Bindhu Madam( RO), Bindhu madam ( head clerk),Sheeja madam( engineering)and Sri. Fasalu A, Jaiby Mohan madam who came for IT support ,and Vimal TV who for their efficiency. Very fast and very supportive!Applause.

Getting married in guruvayoor was blissful but these guys made it a very pathetic experience of kerala for me... being from another state it's really being very difficult for me to get even an update regarding my marriage registration..they just pickup the call and put the phone on table so that I can't even talk to them.

Poor Service Quality: The quality of service provided by the Marriage Registration Department has been subpar, falling far below acceptable standards. As a resident and a service user, I expect a certain level of professionalism, efficiency, and responsiveness, which unfortunately has been lacking in my interactions with your department. 4. Impact on Experience: These issues have not only caused delays but have also impacted the overall experience of dealing with the Guruvayoor Municipality's Marriage Registration Department. It is disheartening to encounter such challenges in what should be a straightforward and essential administrative process. I urge you to take immediate action to address these concerns and improve the services provided by the Marriage Registration Department. Please improve marriage registration procedure,many people came from far places, attest put 2,3 counter and also make it some procedure flexible, one counter many couples too bad of this

REQUIREMENTS: Filled Application(Fee approx Rs.200), Passport size individual photo of bride and groom, CLEAR Photograph of THALIKETTU RITUAL showing couple's faces clearly, 2 witness to sign. Original ID-Proof of both Couples and Witnesses. Note: Part in Application is to be signed by Parent of the bride n groom. Documents of previous disolved marriage.
