Few tips: Upload documents via digilocker before coming for the appointment for faster processing. Make sure to have e-aadhar print ready. COLOUR PRINT of E-aadhar NOT NEEDED, black and white is sufficient. Don't waste 50rs for colour print. Self attest all photocopies/Xerox documents.

Best example of Baburaaj Here. Very bad experience. The verification officer lacks basic behavioural skills. He simply thinks he is bigger than the system and demands docs that are not even mentioned on website. Pathetic he has his own rules. I verified my documents using Digilocker in Pune. But when i tried to verify documents for my wife passport Lady Employee said "Yahan Digilocker nahi chalta. Jidhar Chalta hai wahan ka appointment lo." in next appointment first desk officer who arrived himself 30 mins late prior day came on time on that day. and rejected applicant who came 10 mins late. According to rule if there is less waiting for verification officer should allow late comers. But despite no one is in waiting area he simply rejected us. forced to reschedule appointment again.

incompetent people working here. These do not know the rules. A woman applying for change of name/ surname in existing Passport due to marriage need below document as per form is 1. Old Passport in original with self-attested photocopy of its first two and last two pages, i 2. Self attested photocopy of the spouse's Passport But these guys are asking for "Clippings of two local news papers or the Gazette notification of the concerned State Government,".

they dont want to work . now my father is there they just denied because they need date of birth proof after TC also .rubbish things.if dob before 1989 TC ,aadhar is enough to give passport verification.now posting & in law is there

The officers think that people doesn't deserve the passport - First they will ask you to come with appointment print which is not required as per passport guidelines but these Guyz has their own rules. - First they will try to find mistake even though it is minor one which is -They will try to find error and send you back - they will ask to take print colour of aadhar don't know why but the downloaded copy should be current date - This was a pathetic experience - this office must be replace by the officer - provide them training how to behave with public

I also noticed this hitler like looking officer making offensive comments on a lady's physique. Such ill minded person.

First of all , STAFF (2 in Nos) are really cooperative and polite. But No COUNTER or RECEPTION Staff,even for enquiry you have to Disturb the Staff which do the operations in a Single room. The Post office passport seva kendra doesnt house rush.but many people here dont arrive on time for their appointments,so others who have their on time appointments face trouble.as their timing given isnt attended for. Very near to Bus Stop .walkable distance from Bus Stop and Gandhi Chowk( approx 200-300 meters ).Situated in the same building of POST OFFICE. Opposite to ALKA SAREE STORE. Passport Dept needs to improve the Office Structure and Staff Quantity.

'Don't judge a book by it's cover'. I visited passport office latur in Sep 2023 for fresh password appointment. I saw people brings documents which are not technically valid. For ex. 1. Name of the candidate should be same on all documents like ID proof, Educational documents. 2. Photo on id proof should be clear Avoid these mistakes, if you have such things please correct (update) before going to passport office. Documents Required For fresh passport 1. Print of Online Appointment Receipt (Color print is not mandatory) 2. Aadhar print ( make sure your aadhar is download on same day and printed. Reason: Officer will check aadhar is up to date by checking print date based on they issue passport. Don't worry around office have 2-3 Xerox center they will provide you print required your aadhar number & Linked mobile number charges are 40rs). 3. Pan card Xerox (Not mandatory but having extra document always good. Color print not accepted) 4. 10th/12th Certificate (Sanad) Xerox (keep marksheet, sanad of both 10th/12th original it is mandatory) 5. Light bill/ water bill (optional) Suggestion: 1. If aadhar or pan card photo is not clear then keep any bank passbook Xerox (must have photo on passbook with bank stamp) 2. Address on appointment receipt must match with addhar address. 3. If your addhar card have photo and address issue then update it before going to passport office. If you follow these. Your work is done hassle free.
