Nothing against people here. But in general touring in sikkim is painful. We are forced to use the tourist operators, there is no way of finding the right operators. People who are vocal would get priority, not good for people who are travelling without prior knowledge. Specific type of vehicles are not allowed within city limits forcing us to use another cab, they charge without any standard meter system. Prepare to pay 2 or 3 times more if you can't negotiate. I am writing here since there is no feedback system.in place for the state to improve.

Too lazy to come out and direct to tourist office. Big attitudes after we visited the correct office (magistrate) according to the website and forced to returne after a 2 hour trip to Gongtak. At least drop the poor attitudes after screwing us out of 4 hours.
