Erode Head Post Office

Visited for Aadhar Name update for my father, very friendly staff. Took the token in the Morning and carried all the required documents. Updated with in half an hour.

It's a head post office of Erode and RMS also here. You feel like a fresh air like village. Super and awesome place. But in the two-wheeler parking, You didn't spent more than 5 minutes bacause huge numbers of mosquitos are there.

Came for passport renewal and it was done within 15 mins. Xerox shops are just in opposite side and easily accessible. We came bit late to the office since there was no rush we were good to go.

1. Carry e aadhar ( which has a phone number, correct spelling of father name, date of birth and correct address) 2. 10 th mark sheet ( original and Xerox) 3. Carry appointment copy ( appointment can be shown as message also) If all these are present within one hour a process will be completed. Friendly staffs ! If any minor corrections are done while filling the application that can be changed during document verification process

This very poor management, only one addhar update counter in head post office. We took token early morning 8 am they asking us to come 11 am. So we came to 11 am but due to lack of counter we where sitting almost 3 hours to update aadhar for single person. ERODE HEAD POST office having one counter for aadhar this very strange.

**Passport office - Poor management and lack of basic communication setup** We visited the passport office and reported well before our scheduled time--10 minutes ahead of the reporting time, to be exact. After waiting patiently outside, even past our appointment time (which is 15 minutes after the reporting time), we realized we hadn't been called in. Assuming there was a backlog, we went inside to check. That's when the executive bluntly told us, *"We called you. Why are you late?"* I explained that we were not late and had been waiting outside all along. She accepted the application, but the whole interaction felt dismissive and frustrating. While waiting, we were actively listening for our name the entire time. Either we were never actually called and she was covering up, or she did call us--but we couldn't hear it due to the heavy traffic and vehicle noise outside. The entrance area is noisy, with constant road traffic and vehicles entering and exiting the premises. It's incredibly difficult to hear anything coming from inside the office under those conditions. We weren't the only ones. Another candidate also missed their call for the exact same reason. The fact that there's no tannoy or public address system in place is honestly shocking. This issue isn't new--it's clearly been going on for a while. Has no one from the office staff ever stepped outside to see what it's like to hear announcements over the traffic? This kind of carelessness and poor infrastructure for something as critical as passport processing is unacceptable. A little effort and planning could fix this, but it seems like no one is bothered.

POPSK (passport section) - Initially I was skeptical for choosing erode POPSK for renewal after reading the reviews. But it was rather a smooth process for me to get my passport renewed. We should have our e-aadhaar(printed on same date of appointment), Old passport Xerox and marriage certificate xerox (if married) in our hand for passport renewal. If we have these necessary documents, then the process happens smooth. There was time delay. I was called for biometrics and final submission about one hour after my allotted time. There were only 2 staffs managing the entire crowd which could be attributed to time delay. Better announcement system or proper may I help you desk can improve public satisfaction and also it can reduce the frustration among those are waiting outside for their name-call.

This place is the head post office in Erode where people visit all day and there is also Passport Seva Kendra situated with Aadhar enrolment center but there is no parking space for Cars. They expect public to either come in bike or public transport. There are plenty of spaces around but as they are not planning and maintaining it properly it is difficult to park your car and sometimes two wheelers as well. Most people are parking on the road outside the office also which highly disturbs the traffic and bus going on the main road. They can easily plan parking spaces for both two and four wheelers with the available space and maintain it. Recommending the same.
