Karaikudi Head Post Office

Absolutely pathetic and infuriating experience. There is zero competence, zero planning, and zero accountability. It's hard to believe people with such poor efficiency and basic understanding are holding government jobs. Most of the time is spent sitting idle, chatting, or doing unrelated things while citizens are forced to wait endlessly. These salaries are paid by taxpayers' hard-earned money, yet no real service is provided in return. The entire system feels lazy, outdated, and indifferent to the public. Honestly, replacing this setup with AI or automated systems would be far more efficient and save people an enormous amount of time and frustration. Complete waste of public resources.

Visited for Aadhar update for kids. No special queue for elders/family/kids. Spent more than 5 hours for update. Only 1 person updating with 1 system for such a big queue. Poor management , wasting public time - a typical example of government services even in 2024.

We had a very great experience when we went here for Aadhaar update. The two ladies in the Aadhaar section are active, smart, intelligent, vibrant and more importantly, very friendly and kind. They quickly completed the work for us since we had the necessary documents ready. We wish we knew about this place before. We have been to other kind of offices with the same documents, for the same purpose. All our efforts went in vein. Work was not done. Either they lack knowledge or don't know the work or not willing to complete it. We received only lot of wrong / useless information. They were unorganized and unfriendly. I wish a lot of general public hanging around those offices for days to weeks to years, knew about this very good service offered at post offices. If someone happens to read this review, please help other people with this information.

One of the worst and poor staffs they didn't work properly

Decades back it was located near the Anna vegetable Market. It caters to all the Postal services. Usually my Athaan takes me along, whenever he goes for it's Registered postal services.

not just post a parcel or money order other than savings & savings certificate ,registration, speed post, my stamp, bills payment and IPO Enquiry and stamp sales

All postman are good response in this office... if you want any quaries, tell them ur name, correct door number, correct street name..

Post office bank , Sankarapuram ,Near Surakudi G H ... This is not main Head post office. This location not available in the google map.
