Very smooth and pleasant experience at Kodai Road POPSK. The staff was extremely kind, polite, and helpful. Even though there was only one lady officer handling the process, she managed everything calmly and professionally. The process took a little time, but it was well-organized and smooth. I previously had a bad experience at Vellore POPSK and Aminjikarai PSK, but Kodai Road was completely different and much better. Despite some negative reviews online, my experience here was genuinely good. Also, the location is very convenient, close to the railway station. I would honestly recommend this POPSK.

Good experience... Passport Instructions are very clear, they pasted required documents outside room. For me it took just 30 minutes to complete all the documentation. Appointment printout is mandatory. But if you apply in online, it will show , appointment printout is not needed, but they will ask printout.. Nearby few xerox shops are there, we can take printout...

These jobs should be given to deserving and qualified individuals who understand the responsibility of serving the public with integrity and respect. It's unacceptable for any government official to misuse their authority for personal gain. I urge the authorities to take strict disciplinary action and restore professionalism at this passport office. No citizen should be treated this way. Feedback on POPSK Kodai Road (Madurai RPO Jurisdiction) We applied for a minor passport at POPSK Kodai Road, and although the police verification was completed the very next day, the status showed "under review at RPO Madurai" for more than 15 days. With only 4 days left before our travel date, we visited RPO Madurai directly for clarification. At that point, we were told that the child's photo was not valid -- even though we had taken a new photo at POPSK and it was accepted there. We had to take a new photo again at the RPO to proceed with the process. Key Takeaways: POPSK feels more like a temporary camp, not a full-fledged Passport Seva Kendra (PSK). For urgent or time-sensitive cases, we highly recommend visiting the main PSK Madurai directly for smoother processing. Minor issues like photo rejection can delay your passport even after police verification is completed. If your travel is planned soon or if it's a minor applicant, consider avoiding POPSK to save time and confusion.

This is not a Passport Office; this is one of the Passport Camp offices. The online option available is for the Normal service, not Tatkal. Don't waste your time. My suggestion is to directly visit the Madurai Passport Office, as they respond well and speak clear Tamil without using complex language. They treat people well. However, don't have high expectations for the Kodaikanal Road Passport Office. I visited the Kodaikanal Road Passport Office last week, but they did not accept my documents. I rescheduled for the next day at the Madurai Passport Office, and they accepted the same documents. Within 9 days, I received my passport. So, be cautious when visiting the Kodaikanal Passport Office.

Very Slow Network SPEED and Single man handling so Aged persons don't prefer Kodai Road office. My Suggestion Madurai office is the very best. This is a centre not applicable to tatkal. This is one of the Camp Offices.

The officer was very specific with document requirements. Even if the passport website said you only need one ID/address proof, they ended up asking for a lot more than that. So, take multiple ID/address proofs. Take Xerox copies as well. Go much earlier than your appointment. Notice what's been asked from other applicants. The officer was very nice and helpful with everything. I got the passport within a few days with a nice photo as well. Thank you officer :)

I've thought to avoid this office based on old reviews. But the thought changed when I've been there. The One Mr.Nagendran, Passport officer was so polite and instructive. There was a little delay in Process due to power fluctuation but was smooth. Finished my application within an hour... Need all Govt offices like this. But is a day dream.. I recommend this office to everyone
