Overall a good experience. The process has two steps, address verification and bio-metric verification, which usually takes 15 to 20 minutes. There can be delays due to queues or system issues, my visit took about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Officials require colour printouts of documents and there are print shops right opposite the office at reasonable prices. The staff were helpful throughout.

For renewal of an expired passport, please ensure that you carry the following documents: Original passport Original Aadhaar card Photocopy of the passport (front and back, black & white or color) e-Aadhaar printout with e-signature verification (must be printed on the day of appointment) For applicants wishing to add their spouse's name after marriage: The original marriage certificate is required. If the marriage certificate is not available, a joint photograph must be affixed on Annexure J. The entire process is completed within approximately 1.5 hours.

I had a worst experience at the passport office. Krishnagiri district . Especially a guy with specs . I wish I could know his name to mention here . Such a rude behaviour. He feels difficult to explain things . He treats the people as if they are uneducated. But I feel he is the uneducated person . He has so much of attitude . He is not at all fit for the job.

Very good service and response is very nice. Very easy to get along with the staff members and working. Unnecessary crowd have been avoided by giving proper appointment for registration. Though very small office room, number of chairs were provided. The out side surrounding area also neat and clean and if necessary we can wait outside also.

Worst staff I have encountered here. The person with the specs counter, I believe his name is Singaravelan -- treats people as if they are illiterate and is consistently rude. When he behaved rudely with me, I immediately went to the post office to meet the Head Postmaster to complaint him, but the Head Postmaster was not available at that time. I then found a senior person deputy level and reported his behavior. He was warned right away, and after that his behavior towards me was polite, although he continued to be rude to other applicants. My suggestion to anyone visiting: please don't stay silent or simply adjust to such behavior. Raise a complaint when necessary. I've noticed a few similar Google reviews about this staff member, Singaravelan. Hopefully he receives a suspension or dismissal.

Very worst service...They make us wait in the name of a "token." There will be no one at the counter to give the token. Then, at the counter where we have to pay after buying the token, there will also be no one. So, to make the payment, we have to wait a minimum of 1 hour.

Very worst service, the people whose working in passport office, they told all people's adhar is roung they blame government of India, Can i ask one question how many people have the initial after the name in adhar card and as my knowledge the name of aadhar card holder is 1st name after that fater or husband names only showing if I'm correct.

If passport lost or stolen or misplaced please apply for chennai passport office 4. Arriving before time is better 5. Car parking can be very tuff 6. It's a very traditional type building so don't expect any amenities 7. If documents are apt , the work will be done in less than 90 mins
