Very worst service I have ever seen. Those who are applying for passport from tuticorin, then please go to Tirunelveli for verification. I have applied passport for my father, mother and sister. We have carried all necessary documents such as Aadhar card, pan card, voter ID card and smart card (ration card) The Gent staff who was in-charge on the date April 26, 2024 said that Aadhar card with date of birth also cannot be considered as valid document, he asked for E-Aadhar card to be downloaded and printed on the same date of appointment. And for pan card he was asking for enlarged size photocopy of pan card. And for ration card also he said that the corner of printout is not clear. I hope the required data is not at the corner of the photocopy. He has asked to take all printout near printout shop near kamaraj college. He has given different for all 3 applications and pointed to take printout on the same shop. Totally disappointed. I have applied for passport on 2015 (9 years ago) in Tirunelveli passport seva office behind tirunelveli new busstand. They asked for Aadhar card, Pan card, Birth certificate photocopy. And original for verification. And the process was completed within 15 mins. But in 2024 (after 9 years), still this tuticorin passport office people are saying, these are not yet implemented.

Waiting time is more ... need to add more staff for proper response.. it will take 2 to 3 hrs max to complete the application process.

Tuticorin postal staff quarters passport office is operating in very worst condition, slow in all documents verification and processing .Guys who sitting there don't have proper training.
