Amazing experience at PSK Apparently, speaking Hindi is now a disqualification. I was repeatedly asked why I don't know Bengali and told that if I'm "from Tripura," I should know the language very welcoming attitude. Instead of helping, they seemed more interested in questioning my language skills and delaying the process by asking for random additional documents that were never clearly mentioned before. Didn't realize language proficiency was part of the approval criteria. Truly a masterclass in how to make applicants feel unwelcome.

This entire experience was a complete waste of time and a masterclass in bureaucratic incompetence. From the front-desk staff to the manager, no one seemed to know what they were doing. I was made to wait unnecessarily, only to be told after considerable delay that the Tatkal service was "not available." Hours later, I was instructed to proceed through the normal process, which I accepted. That, however, was only the beginning of the ordeal. What followed was an endless sequence of arbitrary objections. After being asked to rectify an address issue, I updated my records with the bank and returned with my passbook as proof. Then, without explanation or consistency, I was told that a three-month bank statement was required. I provided the official monthly statements emailed by SBI, documents verified and issued by the bank itself yet these were summarily rejected. The office would accept nothing except passbook entries, as if banking systems in 2025 still operated on handwritten ledgers alone. What they failed or refused to comprehend is that passbook pages cannot realistically cover three months of transactions, not even across multiple passbooks. Explaining this was futile. Logic, documentation, and common sense had no place here. To top it off, even the manager was unable or unwilling to explain why the Tatkal service was unavailable at the Agartala office in the first place. The lack of accountability, clarity, and professionalism was astonishing. Frankly, it would be far better to get the work done in Kolkata. This office is a deeply frustrating, poorly managed space run by people who appear entirely detached from both policy and reason of the Passport Seva Scheme.

Very disappointing experience B2 counter. The verifier spoke only in Bengali and when I politely requested in Hindi to repeat the question, I was immediately asked why I don't know Bengali Where I am from. Even after showing my birth certificate and full address, I was told that if I am from here, I should know Bengali language. When another officer came, the verifier pointed out that "this guy doesn't know Bengali." Instead of focusing on my documents, they questioned why I applied for Tatkal and why I was in a hurry, even after I clearly explained that I am going abroad for work. They smiled, whispered to each other to "check properly," and then I was asked to provide additional documents that were never mentioned before and do not even exist no proper guidance. It felt less like document verification and more like a language test. This is what we are treated like for being tribal in our own state. Very unprofessional and discriminatory behavior. I hope authorities ensure equal treatment for everyone, regardless of language or background.

It's very Bad behaviour, @ poor service!! People waiting outside and inside but they saying server down whatever About Timing .....8:30 am to 4:30 pm. But they are coming 9:30 am people waiting for they come because they are government employees!! The staff face like a they come office Please report everyone about this issue! Because our government pay for them !

Untidy and nasty building. Only one door to enter the office and that too gets overcrowded due to lackluster management. The application process is smooth and easy but overall average service. It is situated at a convenient location in Kanshari patty near Motorstand, and it is not RMS Choumuhani and not at all Krishnanagar... Google Maps get your facts checked.

I had a bad experienced with Inquiry front desk lady she has such a rude behavior who doesn't know how to talk to a person .Literally she thew my documents and shouted at me for a silly mistake. Shame on her upbringing needs to learn some courtesy .I suggest anyone not to go there instead opt for other man he was polite and we'll manner.

I had a very bad experience dealing with the persons working in the office starting from security guard to office staff. They are not helpful at all. If you are not prepare for constant yelling, mis handling and mis behaviour please don't visit this place. You have to be ready for few rounds in the office as they will put your file on hold for some silly reasons. Always come with all your original documents in physical form since they do not have any online verification system. All papers are checked physically and in case you are not providing the physical copy they will not entertain at all even if the documents are available online. In fact I have spoken to few of my friends regarding this issue and all of them have faced the same problem dealing with this office.

Very bad behaviour, the lady who took biometrics literally was so rude. No respect for people. Proper behavioural training should be given to them. No proper guidance, no proper response, no proper knowledge. They are neglecting the document lists given in the official website and pressurising to bring what they believe. They are simply not entertaining and following the official website govt guidelines, instead making up their own rules.
