Regional Passport Office

Very pathetic condition, wait time is more than 1 hour. The file was sent to the concerned police station for verification. However, when I contacted the police station, they informed me that the file is completely blank and contains no details. I subsequently filed an inquiry at the Regional Passport Office (RPO), but they stated that they cannot take any action in this matter. Now, the only suggestion I have received is to close the current file and initiate the entire process again. This reflects a complete lack of accountability and coordination between departments. It is truly disappointing and disheartening to experience such inefficiency -- a shame in the name of Digital India.

It's been more than a month I applied for passport renewal. The documentation is perfect, yet my application didn't proceed to the next step in more than a month. The status is still "documents and fees submitted". No response to grievance or phones. The helpline is completely useless. 10 years ago my fresh passport was issued by Bhopal RPO, the experience was perfect and pleasant. Now, I need to renew from Lucknow RPO, and it's already pathetic. The worst part is I'm poised to miss a business trip at this pace.

Worst PSK office experience (PSK Lucknow). It has been over 2 months since my police verification was completed, yet my passport application is still showing "Under Review" at PSK Lucknow with no updates at all. There is no response to emails, and phone calls are never answered. This unnecessary delay is causing inconvenience to applicants. There is no transparency, no communication, and no accountability. Why provide a helpline number and email ID if no one responds? If applicants are expected to visit the office for every issue, then what is the purpose of having an online passport application system? The system is meant to make the process easier, not force people to repeatedly visit the office. Such poor service defeats the purpose of having a streamlined passport system. Applicants are made to suffer without any valid reason.

The officer in RPO office room no. 2 is not so patient as to how someone can take out time to approach you with his problem. They sit with you for 4-4 hours and when their turn comes, they do not talk properly. They leave without listening to the whole thing. An SMS will come. Poor service. PSK Ratan Square is the best.

I had visited the office past 15 days ago . I had submitted all the required documents. But my quary has not resolved yet . Poor service at this regional passport office. Very disappoint

Service is pathetic..waited 4 hrs..no proper planning no proper structure..nobody has manners to talk also..Main officials are unapproachable..touts outside demand money and can get work done..cm should take some action as it's a important deptt has lots of flaws keep people passport under review without any reasons for months

The RPO office needs serious improvement in its services. Files are delayed without any clear reason or update. Staff behavior is unhelpful and lacks professionalism. Overall, the poor management causes inconvenience to the public.

They just kept asking for documents without even knowing what the requirements... had very very poor and rude experience .
