Today (February 21, 2026) I visited Passport Seva Kendra Shahjahanpur for my first appointment, and my experience was really positive. The officer who was checking my documents was very polite, cooperative, and well-spoken. He explained every step of the verification process in detail, which made everything very clear and stress-free. The document verification was completed very quickly. I was missing a few photocopies, but I was allowed to go outside, get the xerox done, and return without any problem. The entire process was handled smoothly and efficiently. One more helpful thing - even if you reach a little late from your appointment time, they still consider your application, which is very convenient for applicants. Overall, the staff was supportive, the process was fast, and the environment was well-managed. I had a very good experience at Passport Seva Kendra Shahjahanpur.

The passport office is made in a small space in a single room. The process is quick and easy and the staff is also well trained.

Wonderful experience....staff is so polite and helpful and they totally help you if any problem in you documents. Please carry downloaded e addhar and pan card Xerox both side and all necessary documents that you have . It open at 9:30 am sharp . If any problem in you documents so they allow to go outside and take correct documents or print from cyber cafe .

This place got really genuine people kudos to them as informed by my parents. The only problem lies in the LACK OF KNOWLEDGE people sitting there hold. AS PER THE CENTRAL GOVT OF INDIA documents required is divided into three major categories for atleast Uttar Pradesh (attached) namely 1) address proof 2) DoB Proof 3) a valid photo id. ONE DOSEN'T necessarily have to show all the documents he/she could choose among the following list and if the application submitted by them already had those and there's no error they shouldn't be asking for ALL documents. As per me its lack of knowledge and pure misconceptions already made over there which need to resolved as a comparison the process is lot more smoother in BARELLY POI. Posting this genuine reply so either of the person working inside have a look into this or any senior authority on inspection have a look into this and this problem get resolved asap.
