Asansol Head Post Office

My father have invested through KVP Scheme. He expired in 2007. But investment matured in 2014. I was small then, so I didn't knew about this. When I knew I went for Benachity post office for claiming it. But it's been 2-3 years there is no response when claim will settle. So I want to know email id of head office postmaster. So if anyone knows, please let me know. Thankyou otherwise I have to visit physically or write a complaint letter. Suggestions are welcomed !

Post offices are part of a national postal system that involves in activities such as exchanging of letters and parcels, deposits of money, transaction of postal stamps, banking and government services and many more responsibilities. Post offices located in Asansol also proffer all these services to its resident public. These post offices provide decent customer service with the drop-off and pickup facilities of mail and other packages to your dear ones all over the world. Money transport through post offices has now gained more popularity amongst the public. The role of a post office has augmented day by day with the government of India acknowledging a number of saving schemes for the sick and the retired individuals.

The behaviour of clerk are not so good. I was there for passport. You have to carry your original documents along with your xerox of Aadhar, voter ID card and PAN card.The site only mention you have to carry Aadhar card but in here you have to fulfill there demand. Kindly put 3 to 4 hours in your hand before coming here for passport. One of the guy who is in front of my line was told to come on next date by the clerk because they called their name and he didn't answer. There is no token system no screening where you can see your token number. You have to carry the xerox slip where the appointment date time is mentioned.

Fantastic experience. Accounts for savings is opened very quickly. Behaviour of the staffs are good. Passport service and Aadhaar Service is very helpful. Offers Postal Life Insurance with high bonus rates. Office premises is not very clean is the only thing to concern about.

The Asansol Head Post Office besides being the HO of the Asansol Sub Division also acts as the Divisional Office of the entire Asansol Postal Division. Located near the Hutton Road Bus Stand. The first building that you see upon entering the Post Office is the Mail Section where all mails booked/received in post offices all over Asansol Sub Division are dropped off. Adjacent to the Mail Section is the Passport Seva Kendra where passport services are provided to general public. Earlier the Office of the Inspector of Posts also used to be straight up ahead but has now be relocated to Burnpur SO, besides Bharati Bhawan. Before entering the main building on your right you will find the Aadhar Enrollment and Update Centre. Upon entering the building straight ahead is the Asansol Post Office and the glass door on your right leads to the IPPB ASANSOL BRANCH OFFICE. Moving up the stairs on different floors of the building you will find the Account Section(employee salary is prepared here), Office of the Senior Postmaster(Asansol HO), PLI/RPLI Section and on the top floor is the Office of the Senior Superintendent Of Post Offices(Asansol Division) and is also our Divisional Office where all matters like Job document verification, CEPT ticket raising, Employee ID generation, Technical issues, etc. are resolved and our job activities are monitored. NB- This review was posted solely for the benefit of the postal employees of Asansol Division.
