Gairkata Post Office

This office is looks like very old. Not so mentioned. But the Post office is located at nearby schools and market. So this office is helpful for all people to post and receive letters and other works.

Very nice place. Less crowded. Good behaviour of the stuff.

All the staff here is so lazy that these people feel that these people are in maternal uncle's house!!

Lazy staff

Very poor service. The staff are usually sleeping, gossiping, or roaming around instead of working. Every time I visit, they just say "come tomorrow" without doing anything. Extremely unprofessional and a complete waste of time.

Very poor experience at the local post office today. We visited around 12:45 PM for Aadhaar mobile number linking and to open an India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) account. The staff told us the service was temporarily stopped and would resume after 4 PM. We also informed them that we wanted to open an IPPB account, and they asked us to wait. We waited there for nearly 1 hour, but later another staff member said it was already 2 PM and refused to do the work, saying it was "too late." This was extremely frustrating because we were made to wait without clear information. This shows poor management, lack of coordination, and no respect for customers' time. If there are fixed service timings, they should be clearly communicated instead of making people wait unnecessarily. I hope the authorities take this seriously and improve staff behavior and service transparency.
