Last month, a shocking sum of 35,000 was withdrawn from her Post Office Savings Account without her knowledge, consent, or any form of communication. For weeks, she tried multiple times to update her passbook, but each time the staff gave excuses: "The machine isn't working," "The concerned person is on leave," "We are too busy," and even said, "It's not our job to update your passbook." When she was finally able to update it, she was shocked to discover the unauthorized withdrawal. She immediately contacted the Postmaster, but instead of helping, he refused to cooperate. We submitted a written complaint, but it was intentionally ignored and never forwarded, likely because they thought she is an old woman who won't fight back. This is nothing short of a scam -- a betrayal by those entrusted with our savings. The post office staff not only ignored our pleas, but when I personally went to inquire, I was abused, threatened, and denied access to any evidence like CCTV footage, withdrawal slips, or even a basic update on our complaint. This is not just about money; it's about trust being broken by corrupt officials. My mother's lifetime of hard-earned savings is being stolen in her old age, and the people responsible continue without accountability. To everyone in Bally, Belur, and Uttarpara -- please be extremely cautious if you or your loved ones have accounts in this post office. Think twice before trusting your savings with them. The worst service ever I've seen in any of INDIA post office. Today is 4th December 2023 . For Aadhar related query I went there and they rudely replied me to call or meet them after 11 am then only they will be able to answer . Being unable to go again there I called the number provided in the above description 3-4 times but no one picked the call for a single time . Infact the Liluah post office number is showing invalid, only the belur math post office number was working and they replied though my issued was not resolved. And they are drawing central govt salary.

Very bad post office. My mother went there to get a document but they did not give it. They said that they would give it only between 10 am to 10:30 am. My mom lives in Newtown and travelling to and fro from bally to Newtown and vice versa is difficult and the distance is long. They said that my mom can travel via bus but reality is that no bus goes there. They were not giving it to any of my family members who reside there. The postwoman was very unruly and behaved very badly. Post offices in india are the worst because it is government owned.

Worst post office experience ever... shame on the employees, specially a young lady. Their primary intention is to harass, waste your time until you appear with an argument.

Good service but stand alone facilities are being provided. Till date, not covered under Core Banking system.
