This post office by the side of Sakher Bazar market has been for as long as people can remember. Outside area is a nightmare for the motorists with shoppers jostling with two wheelers of all variety plus the spill over the market. Nevertheless it is an important post office once you get into its premises. It has speed post facilities which is a big draw. However, the post office is also cramped for space which makes it very uncomfortable during sultry months.

PIN code 700008. The first thing that comes to mind about this Post Office is its PIN code which is commonly called as Kolkata-8. Interestingy, surrounding areas have PIN codes of Kolkata- 34, 60, 61 & 63. It's a very old Post Office located adjacent to back side of Sakherbazar market. All important facilities of postal services are available in this Post Office. Space for visitors is not adequate and during the time of rush, situation becomes terrible.

Horrible experience with the staff. They don't respect time, they'll just keep you waiting for hours even though they'll call u multiple times to come get the article. They don't give door step delivery. People are bunch of old, rude unprofessional jerks
