Kasba RTO

My experience at Kasba RTO was extremely frustrating and disappointing. The staff were unhelpful, disorganized, and seemed completely indifferent to the needs of the public. I went there for a simple name correction and was made to run from one counter to another without any proper guidance. No one bothered to explain the process clearly, and even after submitting all the required documents, I was asked to come back multiple times for no valid reason. The attitude of the officials was rude and dismissive. The entire system seems broken and corrupt. Honestly, this office needs serious reform and better management.

Recently, I applied online for my father's driving licence renewal. Everything went smoothly at first -- I submitted all the hard copies and got a test date for the final process. Since it was a heavy vehicle (Bus) licence, the RTO arranged the test through Khanna Motor Training School. Now here's where the real problem started -- they told me I have to pay 1050 for the test certificate, without any receipt. Basically, a clear bribe. I refused at first and told my father to come back home. I even mailed officials like NextGen Parivahan and others, but none of them gave a proper or helpful reply. They just kept saying, "Contact your RTO." Finally, we had no choice and paid 1050 to that agent -- and you won't believe it, my father's licence got approved without any driving test or document submission! The hard copies they asked us to submit are still lying at my home, untouched. My father is an experienced heavy vehicle driver, but think about the people who never even appear for the test -- they're getting licences too, and driving buses every day. It's scary and dangerous. The whole RTO system is deeply corrupted. The charges for these tests should be covered by the government, not forced as under-the-table payments. For small cars or private vehicles, things might work fine, but for heavy vehicles -- it's all about money. Totally disappointed. The system seriously needs a cleanup.

If you know the people or have an agent then things are fast , cng pump is inside campus lots of old cars in the ground are breeding ground for mosquitos and other insects. Test is also conducted here

Beware of 50 Rs for L marking Please carry Aadhar/voter card + learner license for verification For 2 wheeler you have to bring your 2 wheeler by yourself for driving test If you dont have any license then first you have to capture photo in the Transport office ....and there is a long queue for that. If you already have a license then you just verify your documents and give the drive test. If you are going from a driving school then they verify the docs for you. Very busy place. Most people out there get their jobs done by some middle man. New license prepared here and many more jobs are done here such as vehicle ownership transfer and much more.

RTO opened 10.30. I was there for learning test but internet came after 11.30 and then i was able to verify my document. Authorise Person was polite and other people were also cooprated and i was able to pass learning test.

Don't know about other RTOs but this is certainly one of the worst ones. Whether you go through an agency or by yourself they're ready just to harass and scam you. There are numerous "dalal"s who'll ask for money after you complete your circuit. Whether you've passed or not, whether you're there by yourself or through an agency, doesn't matter. They'll ask for at least 100 rupees per person after completing the circuit. After asking what's the money is for they just say it's for the circuit. Everyone (staffs and agents) seem to know what they're doing but they don't do anything. They(the staffs) intentionally fail most of the people trying for driving license so that they(the dalals) can ask for money multiple times. Be very careful and report this to higher authorities if possible. I had to argue multiple times for not giving them money.
