I had a very weird experience with the official on the day of my appointment. She didn't explain anything properly to me was very rude and kept shouting at me without any logic or justification. She kept getting up from her seat and kept me on hold. Later she gestured to another official to talk to me. If one is so incompetent they shouldn't be in the visa office. Have the decency to talk to customers. And if not at least let the person know what's the matter than shouting at me as if I've gone all the way there to commit a crime!! I have been sorting my paperwork from days before to make my appointment day successful. I even took premium lounge and this is how the officials treat you in the premium lounge. I felt the official cannot do her job properly, had some document been missing or wrong she can first explain what's the matter and tell me steps for rectification. It was so confusing why she was acting out!!!

He was super efficient in his work and due to his efforts, our application process went ahead in an ease and smooth manner. Great work and worth appreciating his timely service and his calm and composed behaviour.

I recently visited VFS Global Kolkata for my Japan visa application, and I felt my experience deserved a detailed review, especially because many people--including me--tend to feel nervous before visiting a visa center. To my relief, the entire process was much more organized and applicant-friendly than I expected. When I arrived, the security team guided everyone properly. There were applicants for multiple countries, and I noticed that even though the crowd included students, tourists, families, and elderly visitors, the staff managed each group separately and calmly. This helped prevent the usual confusion that often happens in busy visa centers. I appreciated how the staff politely redirected people who were standing in the wrong queue, ensuring that everyone, including first-time applicants, didn't feel lost. At the Japan documentation counter, the officer attending to me was extremely professional and patient. She carefully reviewed each document--bank statements, itinerary, cover letter, and invitation details--without rushing. I also noticed her guiding other Japan visa applicants with equal patience, especially those who were unsure about certain requirements. A small error in my travel itinerary was pointed out, and I was given time to correct it immediately, which saved me from the stress of rescheduling my visit. Overall, my Japan visa experience at VFS Global Kolkata was far better than I anticipated. The staff was organized, respectful, and genuinely helpful. If you carry complete documents and follow the instructions given, the entire process becomes efficient and stress-free.

I had a great experience with VFS Global Centre Kolkata. I took the premium service because I needed personal assistance in submitting my application. They assisted me with the documents, guided what documents are appropriate and checked all the documents twice by two different persons. And I received my Visa couriered to my residence in just 4 days. Superb service. Thanks a lot.

Hello everyone I had a interview today and I passed the interview. I just wanna say that all the staff in vfs are really good,approachable and friendly . I had an issue and all the staffs carefully listened and helped me . they gracefully solved the problem as well . there is a girl named aditi omg she is a sweetheart. She assisted me so well . I never met someone like her . 5 stars for aditi . And there is also a men,his name is stefen. He is really good at his work .he also assisted me so well . he listened to me that what is bothering me and he also solved the problem. I really like this guy . 5 star for you stefen . I would like to thank all the staff in vfs, all of you guys are wonderful person. I really had a great experience at the embassy. Thank you so much

I recently visited the VFS Kolkata center to submit my France visa application. Like most people, I took the regular route, waiting patiently for my token number to be called instead of paying extra for the premium service. I understand that the premium route offers prioritization, and that's fine -- but that should never mean those who choose the regular service are treated unfairly. And there's a whole different area for people taking the premium route. After waiting for 20 minutes, my token was finally called, and a young woman at the counter began assisting me. She was polite and professional. However, while she was helping me, a manager (apparently the Head of Operations for Kolkata), a woman wearing a dark blue uniform with short hair and specs who was assisting a gentleman at the next counter, suddenly interrupted and told the woman helping me to stop mid-way to process her own customers payment. Instead of allowing my process to continue smoothly, this manager shifted her focus entirely to the other customer -- trying to convince him to opt for the premium service -- and when a payment issue occurred she even moved my passport aside, asking me to step away so the other person could complete his payment at my counter. This happened without any apology or basic courtesy, forcing me to wait an additional 20 minutes for no fault of mine. Even after the whole thing was done the manager did not occur a word of apology and did not seem to care at all. The young woman assisting me apologized later and she was clearly embarrassed because of what had happened , though the situation was clearly beyond her control. My issue is not with her, but with the manager's unprofessional and biased conduct. VFS is supposed to make visa applications seamless and fair, not prioritize customers based on how much they spend. This experience was disrespectful and disappointing.
