I visited this office today. Staffs are very corporative here. You can came to here any kind of official need.

This office is situated under dm office of this district. Nice large area with big old trees ,where you can sit and wait for the official works done by the officials. Peaceful area.Buildings are old that is not the problem but buildings should be maintain properly. Infrastructure should be developed. More staff required.while SDO can't present on the particular office, other officials should be present to help people or to just hear people's problem and to do some help or to give them some information/ advice what to do or what not on depending their problems. Because time is precious for all kind of people, when ordinary men falls in any problem and they have to visit on that particular office from too far but they have to come back in empty hand ....It's shows the helplessness of not only the public but also the honerable dept.whose moto is to serve the people.

Yesterday I went there to get the EWS certificate. Since EWS certificate was needed for an exam, I didn't have time to wait. So I got signing from BDO office then I went there to get the EWS certificate. When I reached the office, I saw many staff were absent but still one staff ( Manas Bhunia) was present. I requested him and SDO sir to give me the certificate today. SDO sir said, will give you today then I saw Manash Babu efficiently said, he will do fast and make sure the certificate gets delivered today. There were few people who had the emergency like me to get the certificate. So we were waiting and saw Manash Babu painstakingly helped others too. He was like the symbol of hardworking person which is rare to find in any govt sector. However we got the certificates. It was really a heartbreaking moment for all of us to see this kind of Service. So I'm very thankful to SDO sir and Manash Sir.

Worst office that could possibly exist ,staff behaviour is horrible, they will delay the process just to make you suffer . They rejected to issue me domicile certificate even though i had all the documents . You'll continuously have to beg for things else they'll not give it you .

SDO office is located inside the premises of the collectorate of Medinipur Sadar. From station it takes about 15mints to reach there & Rs. 10-15 on bargain with totos
