Head Post Office- Tambaram

From the live location: came at 6am for aadhar card update. Each person gets only one token and form. For my 2 kids, we both had come. We were already in no 9 and 10. Upon checking the 1st person had come at 4.30am. Few said per day it's only 30 tokens. But today it was going beyond 70. At 8am, the main gate opens sharply. Actually there's is a board which says instructions on what are the applicable tasks can be done here. So few people who were standing were asked to go to Koyambedu. Edit 3: Finally my job is done. The staffs are actually replying to our questions. To be honest, there can be some staff to handle the crowd once the office is opened.

Visited the post office today after nearly 5 years. Very good improvement for which I would give credit to the present staffs posted there. The issue was with one of my a/cs which I have failed to renew on time due to my oversight. The person at the savings a/c counter guided me well though it was closing time and issue resolved. My rating was this post office was negative few years ago, presently I give a 5 star.

Never visit this place for applying Aadhar. Staffs are not responsible. Worst in managing token system. Poor management. Instead of 50 tokens, they will give 30 and call it a day. No proper response from higher management. People wait from 5AM in the queue like a fool. Total waste.

Token machine will be switched off after 11 AM. Itself. No Tokens will be issued after 11 AM. Staffs behave rudely after 11 AM. They won't verify the form once it is filled after 11 AM. Kind Advice - Even though post office working hours upto 3 PM, Token Machine will be closed at 11AM. If you want open SSA scheme, Don't take your baby with you.

Might be a very worst maintained HEAD POST OFFICE in India. Poor operational skills of employees, slow process. Usual wait time will be 45 minutes for any deposit/ enrollment/ withdrawal. An advice to the Post Master: Please use the workforce properly.

Aadhar update for minor: Reached there by 6.30AM to get token. Tokens (Aadhar enrollment/update form with number on it) are issued at 8AM, I got token no.9. In total, 50 tokens are issued for a day! Filled the form, at 9AM they asked for the forms and ~9.15, token no.1 was called. It takes 10 to 15mins for each token. We can't blame employees, they have to pull up the form in portal, take photo, eye print, finger print, acknowledgement form print out. Hence it takes that much time. Only suggestion would be to have at least 2 employees to run the show, otherwise it would be a nightmare for the people who is beyond 15th token. Be prepared to spend at least 4 hours. In general, would recommend to use online portal or nearby applicable banks for speedy process. I think this is the case even if you choose Aadhar enrollment center.

Tambaram is One of the very worst post office. I went to pay NPS payment, for 1hr 3 staffs where keep on discussing on which form to be used for make payment. And finally they printout one form and collected the money. So far one month passed still the amount not reflected in my account. I was keep on sending mail and calling them, so for no response. Please let me know if have any escalation mail ID, to make them respond.

Items from my parcel were stolen and repacked with something else, when complained online they said give a written complaint after giving that also they behave as if we had no other job than come and waste our time complaining to them. Its been 30 days they are only sending me system generated replies on mail. I would suggest everyone to refrain using postal services if this is how they would treat our parcels and complaints.
