Its the passport seva Kendra at ITO, Gerald house. Huge office with many counters for passport issue reissue. There should be some convenient movement area for senior citizens and physically challenged. Every one has to go up the stairs, which is not very convenient for the elderly. Reach 30 minutes before your slotted time. Show the mobile sms for appointment at the security. You have to take token as per the appointment time. Then go inside the waiting area and wait for your turn. The token number given to you is displayed on the LED with the counter number you have to go to. Go to the displayed counter. They will verify your address proofs, identity, check current passport, take your photograph, fingerprints etc and once all formalities done send you to the first floor. Check for your token number on the LEF and go to the given counter number for final check. Good to go and you will get an email from passport admin that all formalities are completed and wait gif police verification, if needed. It was a much faster process this time. The staff helped senior citizens in faster processing. They also took a feedback on their services The office is not visually appealing but work was done smoothly and fast. Washrooms are on the ground floor Waiting areas are available There's a cafe coffee day express counter where you can taur tea, coffees etc. reasonable prices. Office is neat and clean.

A bit crowded but very well managed by security guards. Make sure you have original and photocopy of every required documents. If applying for a minor's passport then bring all documents (passport , Aadhar, PAN etc) for parents. Parking space is a problem, come via metro. ITO metro station is next to it, on a walking distance. Photocopy, food, water etc things available outside. Washrooms, ATM available inside and they have wheel chair escalator also.

Conveniently located above I.T.O metro. Staff was cooperative and friendly. Got my passport renewed quickly. Would suggest to keep staff members who guide applicants to their desired rooms though.

Passport Seva Kendra, New Delhi ITO Metro Station (Gate No. 4) Address is: Ground & First Floor, Herald House, 5-A, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi - 110002 The best thing I found while entering the place is they have the chair escalater for old people or for the physically challenged person. Before proceeding towards the entrance and for the application check, you have to pass through with 3 security checks. Once you clear that, you will reach the token counter and after cross check all the documents they will provide you the token. After receiving the token you have to wait for your turn to proceed for the documents check, pictures clicking and more, the steps are not lengthy all depends on the crowd. Less the crowd, sooner the procedure. Ok, so lets find out the way to reach there. So, the bestest landmark is ITO Metro Station (Gate No. 4). You can visit this place by your own vehicles as the parking facilities are there. Two wheeler and four wheeler both parkings are available. The charges for two wheelers are around 20 Rs only. Documents Required: Aadhar, Pan & 10th Certificate/Birth Certificate (10th certificate will work if you don't have the birth certificate). BE CAREFUL with your documents. Your name and your father's/Mother's name must be the same in all your documents which you are presenting to the officers as it caused to be an rejection of the application (if you have any mismatch then must revise your documents) and also you must have to carry your original documents with the photocopies. Do not worry if you forget your photocopies as the shop is available besides the Passport Seva Kendra and also the photocopy services are available inside the Passport Seva Kendra. Photocopies rates are cheaper inside the Passport Seva Kendra compared with the outside shops. Keep clean the area and place you visit. Clean India, Green India.

Today I visited this place for my passport related work. The ITO metro station is just next to this passport office. If you want to come by car then you can come but there can be a problem with parking here. The main reason for this is the people working in the office and near this passport office here who park their cars here. I would like to tell you that the process of getting a passport has been simplified as compared to earlier. It took me 50 to 60 minutes to get my passport work done. If you take an appointment related to your passport work here, then I suggest you to come by metro or cab. if you brought someone with you then one who has come with you will have to stand outside and wait for you. Recommended this passport office. Especially this passport office is just next to the ITO metro station.

It's right outside the ITO metro station on your left. You just have to cross the road and enter the office. You can enter just by showing your text message that you received, there is no need for a printed receipt if the appointment.Try reaching around 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment. You just wait in the waiting area till they call your batch number. After that they would just call you and you just have to stand in any one of the 3 to 4 lines. Now just show your message,aadhar card and 10th certificate it all depends upon the individual your documents could be different depending upon how old are you and what you want to give as a proof of identity and many other reasons. Now they will tell you to stand at the back and they would call your name in 5 or 10 minutes and I would give you a token number. Now you just have to get your token scanned by the guard card near the waiting area. Now you have 3 steps A, B and C and then you can leave. After that move into the room right CCD and then just wait there and look at the screen for your token number to come up and as soon as it comes up just go to the defined counter. There they will check your details and take your picture and biometrics. You would get offered what type of leather cover you want. Just select and for it there and move upstairs for step B and then wait for it just like step A. Now step B will take only a minute and then again wait for your number and go to the step C counter which will take like 30 secs and then you're done. The whole step takes about an hour so its a pretty efficient system. You will receive a mail and a text message for successful registration and then just wait for police verification.

Overall the process was hectic because I had to wait a lot for my turn to come otherwise, the documentation check and confirmation barely took 20 minutes. The process in the afternoon slot will take 3-4 hours due to rush so try to book the morning slot before the break if possible. Arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment time if you arrive early then you have to wait longer in the afternoon. My appointment was at 2:00 pm and I was free at 5 pm. Documents required: Pan Card, Adhaar Card, and 10th Certificate both original and photocopied. At the entrance, you have to show your appointment message, the guard will check and let you in the building then another one will check it and let you into another check. Once you reach inside they will first check your documents both original and photocopy if all of them are okay they will give you a slot. After that keep waiting for your turn to come. No visitors are allowed. Only the person with an appointment message is allowed to go inside. So in case you bring someone with you they have to wait outside. Inside the office, there is a CCD if you are hungry you can grab a meal. Outside there are food courts if your companion wants they can eat as well.

ITO passport office is amazing place with courteous staff and well maintained management. Nearest metro station is ITO and you have to reach herald house to enter the passport seva Kendra and when you reach there you have to show appointment status to the guards and then go to enquiry counter and show your original documents (10th marksheet, adhar, pan card and voter card) and photocopy of these and after that you get a token and please wait in the waiting area , a screen displayed in front of you and you have to check your no. and then enter in the A block for clicking your photo and for sms services and then after that you have to go upstairs towards B block for documents verification and after all was done, you may go home for further process of police verification. Staff is very helpful and polite and tries to speed up the process. A photocopy shop is also available inside the centre. Staff will help you in each particular thing to not face any problems! In this covid pandemic they follow all protocols like maintain social distancing and sanitized each and every person! Overall experience is so good here but there is a little crowded area so must use sanitizer and wear masks! Enjoy your journey!
