VFS Italy

Horrible experience. Absolutely no coordination between the customer care and the vfs italy counsalte. Vfs office processing is fine but when the documents reach the bangalore counsalte it's stuck there for months. For short term visa the application is stagnant and the visa hasn't been processed just a week before the scheduled travel date. Why take up application if it cannot be processed and decided atleast two weeks before the travel date.

It was wonderful experience in processing visa application with excellent guidance and professionalism. The staffs were fully knowledgeable and very helpful to support the process. Appreciate their efforts and professionalism.

Avoid This is a new office that they have opened and it was a truly frustrating experience with the most uncaring and unhelpful staff. Getting a refund for services paid for and not delivered by them (like courier fee) is next to impossible - we have been following up for close to a month. The staff blatantly lie about taking action which they havent, provide no guidance or help and have no accountability to the customer. The Italian deputy manager was rude and honestly, this is no way to treat paying customers to whom you are employed to provide a service. VFS is a monopoly and their SOPs are designed to make applicants jump through hoops for no reason at all. I cannot help but think that there is a harmful colonial attitude at play here. I have never had such a terrible experience in applying for any other visa. So folks, if you have the option, avoid this office and the Italian consulate in Bangalore.

VFS Italy , service is absolute garbage ! This is the only word i can think of for the quality of their support. Uninformed and incapable customer service reps, have no idea how to resolve customer issues. Just copy paste their standard replies, without even reading the problem and then they will send you a confirmation email that the issue has been resolved. I am surprised the embassy of italy has not taken notice of this unprofessional and incapable service desk that they have setup in India. I will personally send a note to the embassy highlighting the incompetence of this helpdesk in india (with supporting proof attached )

Points to note with my experience. I have submitted one month back and got visa 5 days before 1. They are processing your application based on travel date not based on when you submit. 2. If you submit 2 months before then you passport with them for 2 months. 3. If you don't want to keep passport with them then try premium desk if possible to send with out passport. 4. If you are traveling multiple countries in Europe it's better to apply your visa with swis or France (fast and mostly 6 days ). 5. Italy slow but they are doing their best to ging visa.

Took 69 days to process the Visa , i applied on 8/8/23 and recieved my passport on 16/10/23 via courier. " Don't contact VFS" because it's useless & the only response they give you are stated below. 1. Use Tracking Info (which is more like courier tracking , doesn't give process updates in real time) 2. "Mumbai consulate doesn't have a defined time frame for Visa Processing" is the response from VFS every single time. The Consulate General Italy, Mumbai - You cannot get in touch with anyone through emails and phone calls, even if you are lucky to get through the phone the person on the other end will tell you to contact VFS and the loop continues. Due to availability of limited information on timelines and visa status, one has to bear the losses of flight rescheduling costs, non refundable hotel tickets, train tickets and so on.

We would like to know who can take responsibility for the current situation. The website needs improvement; the call center is not responding, the application process is terrible, payments are being taken but the receipts are invalid. Somebody should be held accountable for doing such a poor job. If you are not capable of handling this task, why accept the responsibility? We urge the head of the organization to look into these issues immediately, address them and fix them as soon as possible.

Worst!!! 0 STARS VFS Italy in Chennai have lost my original document while they return me. When i ask for explanation, they say its not their fault, and asked me to contact the Mumbai Consulate. I submitted the documents to VFS and not to consulate which makes the VFS responsible for my lost. I have only 10 days for the flight and this is my situation. Worst agency in the world!!
