Yeah, the reviews for this place are spot on. I mean on surface level they have everything organized but when it comes to actual ground work, it's an issue for sure. The biggest problem is slowness. Let's start with the entrance, the security only allows people who have appointments in next 30 minutes inside (There is no seating outside so people just sit on floor or stairs). Once inside there are separate counters for tokens (normal, tatkal, seniors+infants and an info booth); the problem is nobody queues up according to batch/sequence number; it's all random. It's official work and of course people will be stupid and come with half or incorrect docs and that's what the job of token counter is. However, since there is no order everyone jumps in. Also there is a space here inside where xerox work can be done on chargeable basis and they accept only cash. Here you will get the "undertaking form" which is needed for Tatkal and it isn't mentioned online. So there is again a jam here. People are stupid so you got to design process to mitigate that stupidity not encourage it. Finally you get to the seating area which can accommodate 35 people (3 dedicated seats for seniors+infants). Then you wait your turn for the "A" Zone(12 kisoks in here) where docs are verified and entries are made in the system. Finally you make it to the "B/C" Zone(Granting Zone), the problem is again the waiting time in here. There is just 32 seats here again and it's crowded. The biggest slowness is here as the token numbers are random and you have to wait until it shows up on the screen. Also there are 7 counters and only 4 were working. The total process flow takes an average of 4hrs if you have everything in order. If you are coming with infants or senior citizens and don't find a place to sit then please raise your concerns to the officials. It's their duty to provide dedicated spaces for these groups. Finally the bonus parts - There is a Cafe Coffee Day inside with snacks and beverages (Best bring your own to save money). Laptops aren't allowed inside. Washroom facilities are both inside and outside along with a diaper changing room. Please get xerox copies of all attached documents, staple it and self attest it before going inside; that way you save on a lot of time. Parking facility is behind the building and is quite large. P.S - I witnessed 2 huge verbal fights between common citizens and officials in here. In both cases the citizens were correct and were being unnecessarily harrased due to mistakes made from process failures on the officials end.

My experience with the Bhubaneswar Rasulghar Passport Seva Kendra was very rough. The staff here has no knowledge of anything; they just harass everyone. Even after going there four times, my passport was not processed and they say to reschedule it. Their staff has no knowledge of anything. Only request to the government is that please change this staff, or close the office, harass people, there is no need for an office for this.

Located near Rasulgarh petrol pump, this is the place where you visit for passport verification. Please have all your documents handy as entered in the website, so that the verification process is completed in time. Usually takes around 45 min. for the entire verification process to complete if the documents are properly arranged and self attested.

Very inattentive staff and guards dont know their work snd unable to guide you and no seating space available here

The staff were very friendly.,&helpful.There is a xerox shop beside passport Kendra who is doing loot with full of attitude by printing adhar card on 150rs telling the people make verified &creating the panic situation.,so I am suggesting everyone before going passport office update your adhar and get the printed new one with you to save your money are there.&If you updated earlier just take the new printout from your nearest area with 20/30rps to save your money &took your documents xerox with you with the original.Save your time&money.No need to panic,Staff inside good enough&read the instructions before you go&took your documents with you.There is no sitting area outside office.For the review there was a security guard ,who is doing for the person &give 5star himself.

Very bad behaviour of TCS staff . Specially in B counters. They misguide you and harras you by hold your application repeatedly. Govt. Officials are so good. But you have to pass 3 round of TCS Staffs to reach the government officers of external affairs. Government should ban those private companies staffs in Government Offices like PSK.

there is not sufficient seat for seating. It takes much time for ur token .Very crowded and all employees are doing the work very slow process.they don't talking simply they are very rude. It is taken 3 hours for a new passport apply.

I had good experience compared to others, maybe because I went for passport renewal in Tatkal. I did see huge queues in other counters. The process completed for me in 1.5 hours which involved me running out to take some print outs and xerox. These were my key take aways: 1.Reach on time. 2.Keep all originals and backup if needed. If you are using Aadhaar card, get the original VERIFIED print out. I had a question mark on my print out which was denied. 3.If you are updating your spouse name, bring original Marriage Certificate. That was enough for me, no further proof was asked. But, I also had a marriage picture of me and my wife as a backup if needed along with passport copy of my wife. 4.Keep xerox copies of all your originals (2) copies on safe side and do a self attestation / signature on those copies. 5. Be mentally prepared to wait if needed, come prepared to get your patience tested in worst case. I went with a thought of 2/3 hours, but was happy when things completed in 1.5 hours overall. 6. If your ID proofs are having very old pictures, try updating them or taking a backup which has some latest picture of yours. I was asked the same, and I convinced them by showing another ID as my aadhaar card had very old picture. 7. Don't rely on soft copies of any proof / ids as they are looking for physical copies to validate and attach the xerox copies to your application. 8. Think of you as a Passport office official and validate your documents before you go as there are three counters and all checking your original documents. If anything mismatches, you will be facing issues. I have seen people fighting and complaining they came from Balasore but were denied as document was missing to justify their address proof. Some people came and return midway as they forgot to bring the documents. One lady brought xerox of Passport which was not clear and was asked to get the xerox again, she put her hands on her head being frustrated in front of the official. Bonus point: 9. You will be asked to fill an undertaking form where you need to fill which proofs you are giving such as PAN, your name, signature. Keep a ball pen handy (black), take a print out if you can, it was available for 10 rs inside and also outside xerox shop (ask there if your case will need it ) - I was asked for Passport Renewal and saw many others fill it too.
