Hey, I went to the passport office today and they cleared the work that was pending for 2 months. Very wise and patient Shirish and Kapil, who listened to me carefully and did the work. Thankyou to both of you for helping me.

My Experience - The Guards @ entrance office, very helpful, proper announcing of name and why sitting for long addressed. The concerned Staff dealing with file - listened and solved and doubted previous readings on file. Addressed my case with top official and both decided in my favour. Same day and immediately resolved, otherwise it was a uphill task

Zero experience...very bad staff

The officials here are corrupt and ask for bribes. Having paid all official fees as per Government of India website, when arriving to collect my passport, my relative was taken upstairs by officials and asked to pay extortionate additional unofficial fees (in the region of several lakh rupees) to enable them to 'despatch her passport' which had been sitting there for days, whilst the official noted that my relative had filled in all the correct documentation and paid the official fee. This is a common occurrence for everyone who visits. To note, the bribe was not taken at the office but my relatives were told by the female official to meet her outside Jalandhar Bus Stand and hand her the bribe there. This is commonly done by officials at the office to ensure they are not caught in their corruption. mujhe yh khte hue koii kh'ushii nhiiN miltii hai. yh ek uddhaarnn hai us shrmnaak bhrssttaacaar kaa jo desh ke naam pr dhbbaa bnaa huaa hai.
