They are not picking the toll free number given, if we go to the office the officers are not even ready to hear us, they will never give proper guidance, they are always telling excuses only. The counter staff redirected us to the department staff but the staff responded to us without making a proper study about the issue which we are facing with PF account. Lots of people are coming to the PF office but no one is getting any solution. One advantage is we can gain more friends through visiting the PF office, and it is one holiday program too.

I've been waiting for more than 20 days still my claim is not settled.
Unable to even raise a complaint or query.
The phone number does not exist. How are we suppose to raise our complaints.
I guess this is a big scam from EPFO.
I don't think so they even have some basic courtesy for the members.

For general enquiries and joint declaration form submission they are following the token system (the token starts with GE for general enquiry, starts JDS for joint declaration form submission).

The place is pathetic.. they just only one counter to answer questions and it takes forever to move a single token... I went by 11 in the morning and it took me 5 hours to get a 1-minute answer to my question. I've no idea why they are not respecting and valuing our time.
I don't even want to start about their telephone services, they never pick up the call on any of their numbers. They set a very good benchmark for how an Indian government office should be.

EPFO - a big SCAM. I have been applying PF form 19 since February. All claim and Queries stay in waiting period of about 20 + days and get rejected with new reasons every time or no reason at all. Reasons written cannot be understood by local EPFO also. It is now September - almost 9 months with multiple denials. I have requested multiple times to let me know all the reasons for rejection so that I can correct all the errors and claim but they do not care to tell, they manage to find some new reasons every time and reject. Only once I got Form 31 claim amount that I applied and next time Form 31 was released with reduced amount.
In Feb & March, they kept denying Form 19 claim saying they need Wage Ledger - initially local PF office did not understand the reason written but after going to local PF office repeatedly, they looked in deep and gave the Wages Ledger printout. I mailed the Wages Ledger in PDF format and next all Form 19 claims were rejected due to new reasons.
Now August, they are rejecting PF amount stating a company I worked has not transferred pension amount and they ask me to submit clarification. What kind of document they need and where to submit is not at all mentioned. My old company is closed where my pension amount is connected and what to do now? Just because that old pension amount is not possibly transferred, my PF amount from recent company is denied from being paid to me. Just see the vicious link they create!!!
Grievance can be raised only after 30 days after the current grievance is closed. So again a big waiting time. Grievance goes to the same branch and it is of no use.
Since I took Form 31 advance amount few times, now even interest rate on the remaining small amount has reduced. Whether I will be able to get this remaining amount is doubtful.
I feel EPFO Claim is biggest SCAM and extreme mental harassment. Since I was applying after every denial, they delinked my UAN from all my previous companies and prevented me from reapplying. They did this is when all my PF amount from my previous companies were already transferred to current PF account and was evidently showing in Passbook. I managed to get all relinked from my previous employers and apply again in August.
They have made PF claim online and no solution to any issues. In fact, PF offices create issues and hold back the amount. Are they getting any benefit from this?
Very inhuman and terrible harassment. Looks like holding back our PF amount will generate some interest for them or they have incentives for not releasing the PF. Work hard and get denied of our own money. Local PF offices also treat like dirt, very few speak with respect.

Unfortunately cannot give a lesser rating than this...such an unfriendly, inconvenience filled, pathetic government office. As you walk in you need to collect a token at the gate and then your never ending wait starts...I came in around 11 am and I was handed over a token with number 338, it was 201 when I came in and currently it's 1.50pm and I am still waiting for my turn. There are 10 counters and only a few are functional...I saw long queues of people waiting for their queries answered and requests fulfilled. What broke me of is old people literally made to stand/wait in the queues not being told how long it would take...they all come here seeking help and that is exactly what they don't get..such an inefficient government office and in today's era a EPFO office operating like it is 1980s...such sad state and India becoming digital is such day dream if Government offices operate this way!
