I have not visited the inside of the Greater Chennai Corporation office, but from the outside the premises appear well-maintained and organized. The surrounding area is clean, and the building is easy to locate. The Corporation plays an important role in the city's civic administration, and many essential services are now available online, which is convenient for residents. Will plan to visit the office in future for any in-person requirements.

visited Ripon Building near Chennai Central, and wow, it's gorgeous! This 1913 Indo-Saracenic gem with its white facade, elegant arches, and towering 132-ft clock tower is a sight to behold. Although public access to the interior is restricted, the exterior alone is worth the visit for architecture enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The surrounding area is bustling, so it's advisable to visit during quieter hours for a more peaceful experience. Overall, the Ripon Building is a must-see landmark that beautifully encapsulates the historical and architectural essence of Chennai.

The public is allowed for the heritage walk. Registration is required for the walk. Registration is open on the government portal, and it's totally free. English and Tamil guides are available for the heritage walk. They explained the history very clearly and how it's working now in the corporate sector. Must visit everyone once in a lifetime.

Went for a heritage walk conducted by the Greater Chennai Corporation. It was an amazing experience inside the ripion building. The one architect guy came as a guide, he explains all things about the ripion building. The main place inside the ripion building is assembly hall and surveillance room. We can't take pictures inside the assembly hall. Parking facility is available and the toilets are neat. Booking a slot is mandatory for this heritage walk.

Greater Chennai Corporation is doing okay. Roads in my area got fixed recently and garbage is cleared daily. But in some streets, trash still piles up. Hope they improve those parts soon.
