Passport Office (Passport Seva Kendra) Berhampore

I went to this PSK for my fresh passport. My experiment was very good. The staffs were very cooperative with me and I didn't feel any difficulties there.

RACKLESS AND EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE. I had this terrible encounter at the Berhampur Passport office. Because of his narrow-mindedness and uncompromising attitude, the clerk behind the desk is so ruthless, nasty, and unyielding that he won't listen to anyone or consider anything. He is unable to accept despite being presented with multiple pieces of identification because of his sunk attitude. Even if the document is pointless, it is really disheartening that no one accepted it after I circled the office twice and spent two days travelling fifty kilometres from my home. Funny enough, the gentleman in charge requested me to write a application, which he dictated, much like a KG kid would. He is incapable of understanding simple english word meanings. He made me compose a letter like to a criminal in a court of law, just like someone who had committed a serious crime. The main objective of this passport office is to deny the application at first by asking that you present various paperwork which is irrlevant. harassing people is their main intent. Agents can enter without being asked, or their own people can enter backdoor. The Regional office should be inspect and check the voice camera instead.

On 18/7/25 .Staff was good and friendly but they lack information and professional skills. If my documents are incorrect or I need a digital version of birth certificate for old hand written one or I need adhaar card in pvc or any other documents they should inform us at the token counter only but no they gave me token done biometrics and out of 3 , 1 verification officer passed other asked for pvc adhaar card and let's forget about APO such a lazy person having chit chat only for 2 or more hours with someone and then delayed everything by minimum 3 hrs when it only takes 10-15 mins from my past experience in POSK RAGHUNATHJANJ.

Unnecessary harassment if you haven't paid any broker.. To avoid harassment, read all the rules and illegally argue with them, this is how I got my free passport..

Service here is very efficient and fast Staff was very helpful. But outside PSK I found some so called PSK agents are taking money from poor people just for arranging their documents and charging 30-50 Rs. from them . They are just Making people fool. This should be banned.

Small office as compared to Kolkata PSK, however helpful and understanding staffs here rather than KPSK

Passport Seva Kendra, Berhampore was a good gift once from The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India not only for the people of Murshidabad but also for the people of the neighboring Districts. The services provided here is really satisfactory. Staffs are well behaved and helpful.

Service is good but TCS staffs will compel you to purchase Passport's wallet (costs 350 to 450) which is not mandatory and actual quality of the wallet is cheap and flimsy. Don't know why MEA personnel is silent about this annoying business?
